won’t work today
Velma, sweater girl extraordinaire
with pointy, circle stitched bra
is a passé image
Cops and the Assistant D.A.
beating on old Mike Hammer
cliché, cliché; not today's way
Fast gun, lotsa fun
especially with no consequence
but that won’t fly in the current genre
Writing mysteries
has become demanding,
Betcha, Mickey’s glad he’s dead
