A Craven Color

Preying on fears
of a stupid electorate
may be very smart, but it's yellow
Ducking the job
in the 'Bama Air Guard
seems to me a shade yellow
Lying to you and me
about WMD also
is a hue of yellow
Suited up with a sign
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
for the TV cameras is yellow
Yellow calculations
that trade in fear
have brought forth horrid results
All of these things
are craven and yellow
but a soldiers' blood is crimson
