Folks think
that my mind
much like
my corpus
is in a mess
of a state
But, I know
who I am
and I know what
I know;
I don’ care a whit
what they think
‘cause
conscious-unconscious
or some state in-between
is perfectly
alright
by my lights
So, think what you may
say what you’ll say
I won’t be reflective
I won’t change my way
‘cause I am who I am,
I'm just me

some days i'm me too. some days i'm not myself. some days i'm besided myself, which can get crowded.
When one is beside one's self it's hard to shake one's hand, but should one get out in front of oneself then the one behind would be left looking at an ass, so I suspect beside oneself is the preferable position.
